Prayer Ministry
We Believe in the Power of Prayer
Throughout the years, we have watched God answer prayers in ways that only He could. We have seen Him provide, protect, comfort, heal, and open doors that once seemed impossible. Every day reminds us that God is faithful and that He still hears the prayers of His people.
Prayer is an important part of life at Helping Hands Orphanage. Our staff, volunteers, churches, and supporters regularly seek God’s wisdom and direction for the children, the ministry, and the needs that arise. It would be a privilege to pray for you as well.

God Invites Us to Call Upon Him
Prayer is more than asking God for something. It is spending time with our Heavenly Father, trusting His wisdom, seeking His will, thanking Him for His goodness, and placing our burdens in His hands.
“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. with this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.”Ephesians 6:18 NIV
“Do not worry about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
“and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”James 5:16 NIV
God Answers Prayer
The Bible Is Filled With Answered Prayers
Scripture repeatedly shows ordinary people bringing their needs, fears, hopes, and burdens before God. His answers did not always come immediately or in the way they expected, but He remained faithful.
Elijah Prayed for Rain
Israel experienced a severe drought lasting about three and a half years. After the people turned away from false worship and acknowledged the Lord, Elijah went to the top of Mount Carmel and prayed.
Elijah sent his servant to look toward the sea. At first the servant saw nothing. Elijah continued praying and repeatedly sent him back to look again.
On the seventh time, the servant reported seeing a small cloud rising from the sea, about the size of a man’s hand. Soon the sky grew dark, the wind increased, and a great rain fell upon the land.
1 Kings 18:41–46Hannah Prayed for a Child
Hannah carried deep sorrow because she had no child. She poured out her heart before the Lord and asked Him for a son.
God heard her prayer and gave her Samuel, who later became a prophet and faithful leader in Israel.
1 Samuel 1Daniel Continued to Pray
Even when a law was created to prevent prayer to anyone except the king, Daniel continued praying faithfully three times each day.
He was thrown into a den of lions, but God protected him and used his faithfulness as a testimony before the entire kingdom.
Daniel 6Jesus Made Prayer a Priority
Jesus regularly withdrew from the crowds to pray. He prayed before major decisions, during times of sorrow, and before facing the cross.
He taught His disciples to pray with humility, faith, forgiveness, and confidence in the goodness of their Heavenly Father.
Matthew 6:5–13A Lesson From Elijah
Continue Praying Even When You Cannot Yet See the Answer
Elijah’s servant looked toward the sea and saw nothing, but Elijah did not stop praying. He continued to seek God and sent the servant back again and again.
The first visible sign was only a tiny cloud. Yet that small beginning became a great rain. Elijah’s story reminds us that God may be working before we can see any evidence of the answer.
