Helping Hands is more than the place where the children live. It is their home—a place where they are known, encouraged, guided, and loved.
Each child arrives with a different personality, background, set of talents, and vision for the future. Together, they share the experiences of everyday family life while learning how to care for themselves and one another.
The children attend school, complete homework, worship together, help with responsibilities around the home, enjoy sports and recreation, celebrate birthdays, and build friendships that often feel more like the bonds between brothers.

Roberto
Roberto is known for his kindness, patience, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoys music, video games, jokes, and spending time with his friends. As a member of the orphanage leadership team, Roberto is always ready to help Pastor Pedro. He speaks English well and frequently serves as a translator for visiting medical teams from the United States.
Bioff
Bioff is creative, curious, gentle, and always eager to learn something new. He enjoys computers, science, technology, drawing, painting, anime, and Japanese culture. His many interests also include swimming, basketball, soccer, martial arts, and chess. Bioff has competed in a national chess competition and plays the flute during worship services.
Osnel
Osnel is a quiet and thoughtful leader whose calm presence brings peace to those around him. He enjoys church, music, video games, and rollerblading. He plays both acoustic and electric guitar and appreciates order and time for quiet reflection. Osnel is helpful, grateful, and willing to stand firmly for what he believes is right.
Maxo
Maxo is a godly, hardworking young man who serves as a pastor and leader within the Helping Hands family. He enjoys preaching, singing, playing the drums, and encouraging others. Maxo attends a local university, where he studies computer science and accounting. He also operates a small empanada business and even serves as barber for several of the boys.
Big Wilson
Big Wilson is intelligent, kindhearted, loyal, and generous. He especially enjoys drawing, puzzles, mathematics, flying kites, video games, basketball, soccer, and rollerblading. He is known as a calm peacemaker who forgives easily. Protective of the younger boys, Wilson is always watching out for them and helping them feel safe and included.
Tony
Tony is kind, quiet, grateful, and generous, yet his joyful personality brings life wherever he goes. He enjoys music, soccer, baseball, and spending time with friends. Tony was an excellent student and now serves as a substitute teacher at a local elementary school. He continues practicing English and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Davide
Davide is a kind and positive young man with a gentle way of speaking that immediately reveals his caring personality. He enjoys cooking, watching movies, listening to music, and playing the drums. Davide is always willing to be helpful and generous, bringing warmth and encouragement to the people around him.
Jonathan
Jonathan is persistent, imaginative, funny, and always aiming high. He enjoys technology, computer programming, reading, music, and video games. Jonathan attends a technical school where he continues developing his computer skills. He is also active in church, playing the tambora during worship, and is known for keeping conversations lively with his humor.
Juan David
Juan David is a talented artist who especially enjoys drawing cartoons, anime characters, and landscapes. He also likes music and video games. Though naturally shy, Juan David is kind, grateful, helpful, and generous. His sincerity and loyalty make him a trusted friend, while his imagination gives him a special ability to bring ideas to life through art.
Samuel
Samuel is responsible, committed, intelligent, and dependable. He enjoys music, video games, cars, and learning new languages. Samuel speaks English very well and is eager to continue developing his skills. His gentle, patient, and forgiving nature helps him build strong relationships, and others know they can trust him to follow through on his responsibilities.
Christopher
Christopher has a playful personality and a special ability to make people laugh. He enjoys movies, music, video games, and basketball. Although he can sometimes be quiet, his humor and energetic spirit soon shine through. Christopher is patient, grateful, helpful, and generous, bringing a bright spark to the Helping Hands family.
Guarione
Guarione is full of warmth, kindness, and affection. He enjoys music, soccer, video games, toy cars, and sharing good food with the family. Known for his cheerful smile, Guarione is helpful, generous, and grateful. His peaceful personality and willingness to assist others make him a joyful presence in the home.

Balin
Balin is a creative, authentic, and joyful young man whose personality makes a positive impression wherever he goes. He enjoys anime, video games, dancing, playing the piano, and creating art with pens and pencils. He is an exceptional student and is always willing to help with building projects around the orphanage.
Lorenzo
Lorenzo is thoughtful, considerate, respectful, and deeply encouraging. He enjoys reading, photography, cooking, dominoes, video games, and spending time with friends. Lorenzo is also a gifted artist who works with black pens, pencils, and canvas. He speaks English well and is an excellent student who is greatly appreciated by his teachers.
Little Wilson
Little Wilson Manuel is a bright and energetic young student with a generous heart and tremendous potential. He enjoys soccer, baseball, skating, flying kites, Legos, toy cars, and dancing. Wilson is kind, patient, grateful, and helpful. He also plays the traditional Dominican güira during church worship services.
Wilson Radiame
Wilson Radiame is an intelligent and enthusiastic student who enjoys receiving extra schoolwork and discovering new things. He likes reading, puzzles, dominoes, painting, movies, swimming, rollerblading, video games, and remote-control cars. Wilson also sings in church and brings a helpful and generous attitude to family life.
Marcelino
Marcelino is persevering, hardworking, and willing to put effort into everything he does. He enjoys reading, dancing, board games, puzzles, Legos, movies, video games, basketball, soccer, and remote-control cars. Although he can initially seem shy, Marcelino is friendly, outgoing, kind, and especially fond of puppies.
Eduardo
Eduardo is responsible, focused, and already developing clear goals for his future. He enjoys basketball, television, toy cars, puzzles, and coloring. Eduardo is also happy to help with responsibilities such as cleaning. He is kind, patient, forgiving, and peaceful, and he especially enjoys brownies and pizza.

Every boy at Helping Hands has his own story, personality, and God-given purpose. Whether he enjoys art, sports, music, learning, or simply making others smile, each one is growing into the person God created him to become.
Ezequiel
Ezequiel is a kind and tenderhearted young man who loves the Lord. His calm smile and peaceful presence bring a sense of serenity to those around him. He enjoys basketball, Legos, conversation, and helping with building projects alongside the men at Helping Hands.
Erie
Erie is calm, thoughtful, kind, and tenderhearted. He may appear serious at first, but beneath that quiet nature is a noble and deeply loyal friend. Erie enjoys painting and rollerblading and is grateful for the opportunity to attend school and continue learning.
Luis Miguel
Luis Miguel is talented, sensitive, and imaginative, with a smile that brightens the home. He enjoys basketball, puzzles, skating, good food, and spending time with the younger boys. He is also happy to help with cleaning and is grateful for the opportunity to attend school.
Benancio
Benancio is kind, calm, respectful, and creative. He has a gentle way of speaking and is often ready with an encouraging word for someone else. Benancio enjoys reading, coloring, and skating, and his peaceful personality makes him a comforting presence within the Helping Hands family.
Cristian
Cristian is active, creative, and full of ideas. He brings energy and happiness wherever he goes and is nearly always ready to play, move, or begin a new activity. Cristian especially enjoys coloring, skating, and finding imaginative ways to have fun.
Edinson
Edinson is full of joy, affection, and bright smiles. He loves to play, be held, and share hugs with everyone around him. Remote-control cars and balls are among his favorite toys. His loving personality and enthusiasm bring warmth and happiness to the entire Helping Hands family.
